​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between May 5 and 11, the Houston Police Department answered 226 calls for service and initiated 39 traffic stops, which resulted in 13 citations and 37 warnings.

  • On May 5, officers assisted the Texas County Sheriff’s Department with a DWI investigation.
  • On May 6, officers were dispatched to First Street, near Mill Street, for a motor vehicle crash. A pedestrian was walking in the roadway and was struck by a motorist. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 6, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Upon completing the investigation, the reporting party declined to pursue charges.
  • On May 9, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Holder Drive for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing. 
  • On May 9, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Grand Avenue for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 10, officers were called to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a dog bite. The dog belonged to the person who was bitten, and they provided vaccination paperwork for the animal.
  • On May 11, officers received a report of a stolen cellular phone. The investigation is ongoing.
