Using specialized data, the National Weather Service has determined that a tornado struck in Texas County on May 16.

In a report issued June 5, the tornado track was identified from east of Cabool and north of the Grogan community. It said numerous trees were uprooted east of Highway Y to halfway between Morgan Road and Route 137.

No structures were in the path, resulting in only tree damage found via satellite. It was ranked as an EF-1.

Its path from 1:25-1:29 p.m. was 2.4 miles and reached a maximum width of 100 yards.
