​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between June 23 and 29, the Houston Police Department responded to 232 calls for service and initiated 28 traffic stops, resulting in six citations and 27 warnings.
- On June 23, officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On June 24, officers received a scam report from a citizen. The investigation is ongoing.
- On June 24, officers responded to the 100 block of Cedar Street for a reported property damage. Upon arrival, two juvenile suspects fled the scene and were apprehended a short time later. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office.
- On June 25, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Thomasville Road for a motor vehicle crash. One person was injured when the bicycle they were traveling on was struck by a motor vehicle.
- On June 25, officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a peace disturbance. The investigation is ongoing.
- On June 26, officers received a report of a forgery that occurred at a local business. The investigation is ongoing.
- On June 26, officers were contacted by a citizen who reported their wallet stolen from a local business. The investigation is ongoing.
- On June 26, officers responded to the 700 block of W. Route 17 for a peace disturbance. The investigation is ongoing.
- On June 27, officers investigated a motor vehicle crash on Airport Road after a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported.
- On June 27, officers responded to the 1100 block of Charles Street to investigate an animal bite. The victim declined to pursue charges.
- On June 27, officers responded to the 1100 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a domestic dispute. Following investigation of the incident, officers cited Kenneth L. Belcher, 37, of Raymondville, for fourth-degree domestic assault.Â
- On June 28, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
