​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between June 30 and July 6, the Houston Police Department responded to 251 calls for service and initiated 51 traffic stops, resulting in 12 citations and 52 warnings.

  • On June 30, officers cited Chase A. Mira, 35, of Summersville, for driving while revoked.
  • On June 30, officers responded to the 1500 block of U.S. 63 for a private property motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, one vehicle had left the scene of the crash. Following an investigation, the party that left the scene was identified, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.
  • On June 30, officers received a report from a citizen of possible identity theft. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On July 1, officers received a report of a theft that occurred in the 1400 block of C.W. Harry Drive. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On July 2, officers received a report from a citizen of harassment through social media. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
  • On July 3, officers arrested Nathan Young, 38, of Licking, on an active Texas County warrant per charges of driving while revoked/suspended and operating a motor vehicle owned by another knowing the owner of the vehicle has not maintained financial responsibility. Young was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail due to the warrant having no bond.
  • On July 3, officers were called to a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Upon arrival, the suspect resisted arrest and fled the scene on foot. A foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to apprehend the suspect. The 23-year-old male suspect was taken to the Texas County Jail, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges of stealing-fourth or subsequent offense, second-degree assault-special victim and resisting arrest.
  • On July 4, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Route 17 for a domestic dispute. One party had already left the residence. They were later contacted and advised not to return.
  • On July 4, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Redbud Drive for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, both parties stated nothing had occurred and no one wished to pursue charges.
  • On July 5, officers cited Joshua C. Aucoin, 33, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle with no valid operator’s license.
  • On July 5, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
  • On July 6, officers responded to the 1000 block of Indian Creek Trail for a domestic dispute. Both parties agree to separate for the evening.
