Animals began arriving Tuesday moving for the 2025 Texas County Livestock Fair. The annual event continues through Saturday at the fairgrounds on North U.S. 63. It is sponsored by the Texas County Fair Board.
Here is the schedule:
Tuesday, July 8: 8-11 a.m., rabbit check-in; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. poultry check-in; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. horticulture, field crops, ag mechanics, home economics check-in; Youth and Open Rabbit Shows, 5 p.m.
Wednesday, July 9: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., market goats, lambs, hogs, steers and replacement heifers check-in (must be in place by 4 p.m.); Poultry Show, 8 a.m.; Poultry and Rabbit Showmanship following Poultry Show; market goats, lambs, hogs, steers and heifers weigh-in and ultrasound, 5 p.m.; order for weigh-in and ultrasound — goats, lambs, hogs and steers. Replacement heifers — weigh only. Tractor check-in is noon to 4 p.m.
Thursday, July 10 — Breeding beef and dairy cattle, swine, meat and dairy goats check-in, 7-11 a.m.; Sheep Show, 3 p.m.; Meat Goat Show follows Sheep Show; Rabbit, poultry, sheep and goat exhibitor pictures (for market animals) following goat show; sheep, goat and bottle calf fashion show follows pictures.
Friday, July 11: 8 a.m. swine show; Beef Show follows swine; market steer exhibitor pictures follow Beef Show; 4 p.m., Dairy Cattle Show, followed by Dairy Goat Show; 5-6 p.m., horticulture, field crops, ag production, home economics check-out; 6 p.m. Tractor Show.

Saturday, July 12: 10 a.m., awards ceremony; 11 a.m., Tractor Show; noon to 1 p.m., Farmer Appreciation Dinner; 2 p.m., Livestock Sale.
