The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory through Monday for much of southwest Missouri.
It said daily afternoon heat indexes will be 100 and 105 degrees. Lower values will occur in south-central Missouri, such as Texas County.
Mild overnight low temperatures in the 70s will provide minimal relief at night, it said.
