Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings Aug. 13 and 14.

Members:

  • Attended the Sustainable Ozark Partnership annual meeting at Fort Leonard Wood.
  • Visited with Elle Blankenship and Jason Becker, Veregy, concerning ways to improve efficiency in county facilities.
  • Approved a payment to BPJ insurance.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • David Scantlin with updates on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) projects and townships.
  • Mary Ellen Higashi, Lynch Township, on area matters.
  • Travis Maddox, CERT coordinator, who discussed several activities happening around the county.
