Texas County’s unemployment rate was up in July compared to June, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In July, the rate was 5.5%. That is up compared to the 4.8% rate in June. In 2024, the July rate was 5.2%.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 9,423 and employed was 8,908. (Total unemployed – 515)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (4.5), Douglas (5.3), Howell (5.9), Laclede (5.6), Phelps (5), Pulaski (5.7), Shannon (6.5) and Wright (6.6).
