The Houston City Council met in a short open session Thursday night before adjourning to a closed session to discuss real estate at a special meeting.
On a 3-1 vote, the council okayed a picnic license to the fair board to serve liquor at a tournament hosted at the Houston Municipal Golf Course. (Romines, Stottlemyre and Bittle, yes; and Tottingham, no. Alderwomen Walker and Scantlin, absent).
