The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
A deputy responded to Big Boys Men’s Ministry on Route M at Cabool regarding a report of a stolen vehicle.
The officer made contact with a man and woman who are the ministry’s leaders, and they advised that a 2016 Ford Focus was owned by a man who is a ministry resident and was in Hannibal serving a 120-day sentence. It was allegedly taken without permission by two men who are also ministry residents.
The pair also advised that the two suspects’ parole officer had located an ankle monitoring device in the Mansfield area that had cut and removed from one of them.
On Aug. 31, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper notified the Texas County Sheriff’s Department that a towing company in Seymour had recovered the car.
The ministry leaders said one of the suspects was a trusted driver for the ministry before the incident.
Investigation is ongoing.
