Houston eighth grader Kyell Robertson was recognized during a school assembly last week for his fourth-place national finish in science last summer at the Junior National Beta Convention.
Robertson qualified for nationals after winning the seventh grade science division at the state convention. The top five state finishers qualify for nationals.Â
Junior Beta is a national organization that recognizes academic achievement, leadership and service among students. The Houston sponsors are Loran Richardson and Dara Jackson.
