A Houston teenager was injured Monday, July 30, in a crash about three miles north of Houston.

A Houston teenager was injured Monday night in a crash on Mineral Drive north of Houston, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Dale Pounds said a 1995 Jeep Wrangler driven by Madison R. Curtis, 17, of Houston, failed to negotiate a curve and overturned in the roadway, partially ejecting a passenger, Charlee Sue Jadwin, 17, of Houston. 

Jadwin, who was wearing a seat belt, had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Curtis was not injured in the 10:12 p.m. accident. 

The vehicle had moderate damage. Pounds was assisted by Cpl. Travis Brown.
