The Houston board of education will meet in special session Monday to discuss its dilapidated track and future facility considerations. The group will also have a campus walkthrough.

Last Friday, the district received three responses from its request for qualifications for the track: Byrne & Jones Sports Construction, GeoSurfaces and Mammoth Sports Construction LLC.

Dr. Justin Copley, superintendent, previously said the board must determine the scope of the track project. Details to be decided include the number of lanes and type of surface. Whether the football field will be affected is yet to be determined.

The facility walkthrough will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the work session.
