Texas County’s unemployment rate was down in August compared to July, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In August, the rate was 5.3%. That is down compared to the 5.5% rate in July. In 2024, the August rate was 4.4%.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 9,642 and employed was 9,134. (Total unemployed – 508)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (4.8), Douglas (5.3), Howell (5.3), Laclede (5.5), Phelps (4.6), Pulaski (4.7), Shannon (6.2) and Wright (5.8).
