The annual Missouri Boys State and Girls State programs sponsored by the American Legion were held June 20 to 27, 2025, at Lindenwood University in St. Charles.

Boys and Girls State are educational programs designed to teach the functions of government and the duties of citizenship by having high school students operate their own simulated state government.

On June 10, Houston’s American Legion post 41 (which sponsored the trip for local participants) had a Q-and-A session for students with a short speech about their roles and duties in the programs.
