The Houston Community Foundation announced dates for two upcoming events last week.
A boys’ high school basketball tournament is slated at Tiger Fieldhouse on the Houston campus. Tipoff is Tuesday, Jan. 19. Game play will follow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Proceeds benefit the foundation’s many programs that benefit the community.
The group is seeking people to help underwrite the cost of the tournament’s hospitality room. Persons interested can contact Ross Richardson, president, at 817-403-7203 or rosslinda1981@gmail.com.
The organization also is planning a night to recognize donors and present information to those doing estate planning work. Speakers and a dinner are planned Thursday, March 19, at First Baptist Church in Houston. More information will be released later.
