The Texas County Library system hosted an event Saturday in recognition of the new location in Houston.

Included was a ceremony inside the Houston Storm Shelter, which is the lower level of the library, and an open house for the public to view the facility, which officially opens on Monday (Oct. 20).

Despite the threat of inclement weather, a good crowd gathered for a short program and tours that followed.
