Following a traffic stop in mid-September, a Licking man is charged with a felony.

Christopher Ayers, 44, of Highway AB in Licking, is charged with DWI – aggravated (a class D felony) and speeding.

At about 5 p.m. Sept. 14, a Licking Police Department officer observed a white Chevrolet pickup going 46 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone on an unreported roadway. A traffic stop was conducted, and the officer reportedly noticed several signs of impairment.

After a field sobriety test was performed, Ayers was taken to the Texas County Jail.

Cash-only bond in the case is set at $3,000.
