A fire heavily damaged an apartment building in Cabool near Cedar Bluff Avenue Tuesday morning, according to fire department personnel. 

Around 2:14 a.m., fire departments from Cabool, Houston and Mountain Grove were dispatched to the old motel building that now serves as an apartment building. According to personnel, there were occupants in the building. No injuries were reported. 

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire, which was considered a complete loss.

Houston sent one engine and four personnel to the scene.
