One person was injured early Wednesday when a vehicle struck a deer on Route 32 about two miles east of Success, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Nathan Poynter said a westbound 2021 Hyundai Accent driven by a 43-year-old woman struck the animal at about 2:10 a.m.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

The vehicle was totaled.
