Members of the Texas County Commission held meetings Nov. 5 and 6 to handle personnel and other matters. 

ITEMS FROM THE MEETING

  • Commissioner Robert Ross attended a solid waste management meeting at South Central Ozark Council of Governments (SCOCOG) in Pomona. 
  • The commission reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Robert Connelly as a full-timer jailer. He began duties Oct. 31. 
  • The county clerk updated the commission on the Nov. 4 election and requested to close a bank account at The Bank of Houston. The request was approved.
  • Commissioners reviewed correspondence from Murphy Fuel USA to change gasoline from an E10 to E15 blend. 
  • Jack Warkentin discussed taxes with the commission. 
  • Renee Knapp, Burdine Township, discussed banking issues.
