Texas County entered Wednesday in third place in Missouri in the fall firearms season, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Hunters in the county have harvested 1,788 deer. The breakdown shows: Antlered bucks (1,181), button bucks (111) and does (496).
Top counties in the state are: Franklin (2,223), Howell (1,832), Texas (1,788), Wayne (1,681) and Bollinger (1,444).
