An accident last month in southern Texas County has led to charges against a Willow Springs woman, authorities said.

Rhonda J. Grindstaff, born in 1979, is charged with DWI – persistent, a class E felony; and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident, a misdemeanor.

Grindstaff was arrested Nov. 1 following a crash at Route 137 and Freedom Road in southern Texas County. A Missouri State Highway Patrol officer administered a series of tests to determine if the suspect was intoxicated and found a prescription pill bottle labeled as Xanax. She was taken to the Texas County Jail.

Formal charges were filed on Dec. 6. Bond is set at $2,500 cash.
