The Houston boys and girls basketball teams have received their matchups for their respective holiday hoops tournaments the week of Christmas.
The Lady Tigers, the No. 11 seed, will tip off the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, with a rematch against county rival No. 6 Licking. The two teams played earlier this week with the Lady Wildcats pulling away for a 59-40 win.
Houston (1-3) has home games against Bunker (Friday) and Newburg (Dec. 20) as well as a road matchup at Norwood (Dec. 19) before the tournament begins.
The 2025 Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament:
The Tigers are the 13th seed in the Cabool Holiday Tournament and will face fourth-seeded Norwood at noon Friday, Dec. 26.
HHS (0-3) has three home games – Winona (Friday), Plato (Dec. 19) and Newburg (Dec. 20) – before the tournament.
