Following a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation, an Ozark man faces several charges, including two felonies.

Ryan B. Robinson, 40, of E. Daniels St. in Ozark, is charged with two counts of stealing $750 or more (a class D felony), and misdemeanors of stealing (two counts) and stealing less than $150.

A deputy reported being dispatched on Dec. 8 to Wehr Ford on Business 60 at Mountain Grove regarding a report of theft. The officer made contact with the business manager, who said a mechanic – Robinson – had quit on Dec. 6 and that several other technicians who work there had discovered they were missing tools.

The manager reportedly said he and another employee had viewed surveillance video that depicted Robinson walking through the building the tools were missing from, which is an area of the business he didn’t work in and had no tools in.

The officer reportedly spoke with five employees who had varying amounts of tools stolen (ranging in value from $5.99 to $5,500) and determined the total value of missing items was about $7,400.

The deputy reported contacting Robinson on Dec. 10 and that he admitted to stealing everything listed to the officer by Wehr Ford employees.

Robinson was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail. Cash-only bond in the case is set at $3,000.
