- On Dec. 16, a deputy responded to a Robertson Drive residence in Licking regarding a report of domestic assault.
An 18-year-old male there told the officer he had kicked his 19-year-old girlfriend in the face during an argument over a phone.
The girlfriend confirmed that her boyfriend had kicked her in the face while wearing boots. The deputy observed swelling on the girlfriend’s lip and scratch marks on her upper left arm.
The boyfriend was arrested and taken to jail.
- On Dec. 17, a deputy was contacted by the Plato School District about a sexual assault that had happened on a school bus.
Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a high school official who said a 13-year-old girl had reported that a 16-year-old boy had touched her inappropriately and that he had been harassing her for quite a while, but she had been scared to say anything.
The officer observed surveillance video from the bus depicting the incident.
The suspect is from Falcon, and Laclede County juvenile authorities were contacted.
