The Cabool R-IV school board renewed the contract of Superintendent Cheri Manning at its regular monthly meeting Jan. 13.
Manning received a two-year contract on a unanimous vote, according to board minutes. Also in closed session, the board voted to change administrative contracts from a three-year term to two. That vote also was unanimous.
The board accepted the retirement of Glen Cox, physical education teacher, head football coach and high school boys’ track coach, effective at the end of this school year. The board accepted resignations from fourth-grade teacher Salley Weller and special education director Abby Clinton, both effective at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Vanessa Farr was hired as a high school paraprofessional for the remainder of the school year.
The board also approved the Parents as Teacher program evaluation as presented by Juliet Vonallmen. Midyear assessments were presented by elementary principal Aaron Miller, middle school principal Brian Thiele and assistant principal Dr. Nathan Christeson.
