Between Feb. 2 and 8, the Houston Police Department answered 168 calls for service and initiated 18 traffic stops, which resulted in four citations and 15 warnings.

  • On Feb. 2, officers responded to Fourth Street for a peace disturbance. A report will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for review.
  • On Feb. 2, officers received a report from a citizen regarding a theft. Investigation is ongoing.
  • On Feb. 3, officers arrested a 38-year-old female for driving while revoked. A report will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for formal charges.
  • On Feb. 5, officers arrested Taisha L. Sterling, of Newburg, on active traffic warrants from Phelps County and the City of Rolla. Sterling was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was attempting to post the total bond of $1,650.
  • On Feb. 5, officers arrested a 35-year-old female for possession of a controlled substance. A report will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for formal charges.
  • On Feb. 6, officers responded to the 500 block of Hawthorn Street for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the parties had settled their differences.
  • On Feb. 6, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for several reported thefts. Following investigation, officers issued Sarina N. Breeding, 23, of Jadwin, five citations for stealing under $750.
  • On Feb. 7, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a domestic dispute. The parties agreed to separate for the day.
  • On Feb. 8, officers cited Matthew Wade, 44, of Mountain Grove, for driving while revoked.
  • On Feb. 8, officers arrested Daniel S. Crawford, 38, of Cabool, on an active Texas County warrant per charges of DWI-persistent and driving while revoked/suspended. Crawford was incarcerated on the warrant, which had a cash bond of $2,000.
