A man awaiting sentencing for a November 2024 shooting that left a man wounded was charged Wednesday with third-degree domestic assault, a felony.
Wayne Beck, born in 1965, was charged after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of a Feb. 10 incident. According to a report, Beck is accused of allegedly poking the victim in the chest multiple times.
Beck, according to the victim, threatened him and reminded him of the 2024 shooting, saying, “Do you know what happened to the last person who thought they could touch me?” In that case, the victim said he was struck with a pistol and later wounded by a bullet that entered his upper arm and torso.
Beck will be sentenced Feb. 19 for the shooting incident after being found guilty in December by a Texas County jury, according to court records. He posted bond on Feb. 3, and Texas County Prosecutor Parke Stevens Jr. filed a motion Wednesday to have the bond revoked.
