Members of the Texas County Commission held meetings Feb. 4 and 5. 

Taylor Clinton, assessor, spoke to the commission about taking her staff to Texas County Day at the state capitol.

Scott Lindsey, sheriff, discussed a potential purchase of a patrol vehicle from the City of Cabool and a policy for board bills for inmate reimbursement.

MEETING ITEMS

  • Commissioners approved road maintenance agreements for Upton, Current, Burdine and Ozark townships.
  • The commission reviewed a letter from the Missouri Department of Revenue indicating the county’s current one-half cent capital improvement sales tax is due to expire on March 31, 2026.
  • A letter of support for the South Central Ozark Council of Government (SCOCOG) solid waste program was reviewed.
