An 18-year-old northbound motorcyclist from Winona was killed Sunday morning when he struck a southbound ambulance that was making a left turn in Shannon County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Tpr. S.A. Swink said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, which was on Highway 19 six miles south of Winona. Next of kin was notified.
It was Troop G’s fifth fatality in 2026, compared to six at the same time last year.
Several troopers were on scene, as well as the Winona Fire Department.
