Deputy’s report: Success man arrested after allegedly threatening, shoving woman

• On March 5, a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance at a Wye City Road residence at Success.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a 68-year-old man and 44-year-old woman who were yelling at each other.

The deputy spoke with the man, and he said he had shoved the woman during a heated argument, and that he had threatened the woman, but didn’t recall the nature of the threat. He also said there had been no physical violence.

The woman told the officer that the man had threatened to slit her throat, and she had hidden in a locked room to get away from him. She said he cut the lock, entered the room and shoved her out of the way.

After investigation, the officer arrested the man and took him to jail.

• On Feb. 7, a deputy was dispatched regarding a fight in progress at a Rusty Road residence in Houston.

The officer made contact with a 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman who own the house, and they said a 28-year-old man who was very drunk had threatened the man with assault, holding a bottle in a manner indicating he was going to hit him with it. The man said he was able to get the suspect to calm down, and they continued to sit around a bonfire at the location.

But later that evening, the suspect allegedly became aggressive again and he was asked to leave the property. The woman said the suspect hit her, and she hit him in the head in response.

The man said he then engaged in a fight with the suspect and hit him several times.

Other deputies made contact with the suspect at a different house, and he was taken to jail for a 12-hour hold period. He was also trespassed from the property.

All parties involved in the incident declined to press charges.
