An inmate of the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Wednesday at the prison, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.

Randy Williams, 37, died at 2:29 p.m., according to the prison.

He was serving a 20-year sentence for one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of resisting arrest, one count of forgery, one count of unlawful firearm, one count of first-degree robbery, one count of armed criminal action, three counts of second-degree assault and one count of possession of a weapon at a correctional facility.

He was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on April 26, 2017.

An autopsy will be conducted, the department said.
