A Houston woman is charged with two felony charges following an incident on Feb. 27.

Emily S. Hayes, born in 2001 and residing on Ozark Street, is charged with third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon, both class E felonies.

A man reported that Hayes allegedly threatened to kill him while brandishing a knife. After being hit with closed fists to the upper body, he said he was eventually able to make a call to Texas County 911. Another person in the home alleged the suspect had been “screaming, cursing and breaking things” for three days.

Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

  1. This is completely exaggerated! My daughter was having a mental breakdown and needed to go to the hospital. That is the only reason the police were called, we wanted help not a jail sentence.

    1. I’m an old friend of her’s & I still will consider myself to be, but she did break the law. Although I do agree that she does indeed need some help, but the courts will determine what will happen and may court order some kind of a treatment program.
