Circuit Judge Brendon Fox on Tuesday denied bond reduction for Chaun and Tamla Asbury, who each face five felony child abuse charges after authorities found skeletal remains and children locked in sheds at their Bucyrus residence on March 10.
Chaun C. Asbury, represented by a public defender, waived arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty. He said he would go home if his bond were reduced, saying he is self-employed as part of a religious group, with locations in Missouri and Tennessee.
Judge Fox denied his request, based on Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens Jr.’s recommendation. A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 12. A special public defender has been assigned to the case.
Tamla G. Asbury stated that if her bond was reduced, she would go home. She said she has never been arrested previously and that the children have not accused her of abuse.

She was also denied a bond reduction. Her case was passed to 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 14 for counsel status and arraignment.

March 10 investigation
Authorities arrested Chaun and Tamla Asbury after they attempted to flee their Bucyrus property, where deputies found three children — including one malnourished juvenile bound to a bed inside a shed without utilities — along with evidence of severe neglect and abuse.
During the search, investigators also uncovered skeletal remains believed to be a previously reported missing child, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation as both suspects face multiple felony child abuse charges and are held on $100,000 cash bonds.

I’m glad the judge denied bond
Who has the children? I’ll bet it’s someone not affiliated with family. I’ll bet the dfs are having a hay day with these kids. Im sure they are dreaming up diagnosis with the Dr’s and lab techs they have working with them. They are thinking of any type of diagnosis for that extra funding through title 4 funding.. Those kids have probably been made to get tht poisonous covid shot they make them get. Never mind that it killed all animals during animal testing. Never mind the fact tht it only took them 2 to 3 months to invent. When it should take years. Thank God a different prosecutor has been assigned. Parker helps dfs steel kids by jailing parents under false pretenses for the supervisor at the local dfs office. ASK HIM … HE KNOWS WHAT HE DID AND HAS DONE TO MANY OTHERS. It’s sad that these kids endured this but what’s even sadder is that this case is a dream come true for the money hungry test manipulating Supervisor SASAN ALGIRE… AND HER BESTIE BECKY JONES. I MEAN, BECKY JONES WENT TO THE EXTENT TO SEND HER ADULT SON, A STRANGER TO MY DAUGHTER AT HER JOB .SHE WENT TO THE EXTENT OF SENDING HER ADULT SON INTO ASK MY DAUGHTER FOR SOME OF HER MEDICAL MARIJUANA PRESCRIPTION.MY DAUGHTER DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THIS PERSON AND HE’S COMING UP TO HER , ASKING HER FOR A PUFF OFF OF HER SMOKING DEVICE , THINKING THAT IT WAS HER WEED PRESCRIPTION. Yes, folks Becky Jones literally sent her adult son to commit a class C felony by asking a person that they were literally stalking, because my daughter was 8 months pregnant, getting ready to have a baby and they sent her adult son in to try to get her caught up in some kind of a felony case, not realizing that she sent her son in to commit a class felony as well. Ask Tim Ceplina, he’ll tell you that trying to obtain someone else’s legal prescription is a class c.Felony. But oh becky and susan , they weren’t aware of what they were literally sending her adult son into. This is what goes on with the caseworkers and the acting supervisor that is there to this day. I Pitty , these children that are under the care of texas county d f s because they will be used as pincushions to fill their pockets…. WHO TOOK BRAD EDISONS PLACE AS JUDGE?
You may not be the dumbest person in our area but you better hope he doesn’t die.
