Two Houston Elementary School teachers received $500 grants for their classrooms on Thursday.

Veronica Douglas, art, and Dawn Williams, special education, were the award recipients following a decision of the Houston Community Foundation. Each received $500 to supplement back to school classroom needs for the 2026-2027 school year.
