A Houston man is charged with two felonies after it is alleged that he failed to register information as a sexual offender.
Nicholas M. Jones, 34, a resident of Highway B, was investigated in April by a Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy. Jones, according to a report, said he used his mother’s cellular telephone. She denied it, and gave an officer his cell phone number that was not on the state registry.
He was working at a Houston business, and that information wasn’t included in the state database either, according to the report.
Charges were filed May 14. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.
