Between May 11 and 17, the Houston Police Department answered 196 calls for service and initiated 28 traffic stops, which resulted in eight citations and 24 warnings.

  • On May 12, officers responded to the 1400 block of C.W. Harry Drive for a reported theft. Investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 12, officers arrested Taylor M. Hollingsworth, 43, of Southwest Roanoke, Virginia, on an active Doolittle Municipal warrant for failure to appear-speeding 20-25 over. Hollingsworth was also cited for driving while intoxicated.
  • On May 12, officers responded to the 200 block of E. Walnut Street for a domestic disturbance. The parties had separated prior to the officer’s arrival.
  • On May 13, a citizen reported online fraud. Investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 13, officers responded to the 200 block of Hawthorn Street for a reported theft. Following an investigation, officers cited Sean B. Murphy, 32, of Houston, for stealing under $750.
  • On May 13, officers received a report from the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard of a theft. Investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 15, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Following an investigation, a report will be forwarded to the Texas County prosecutor for formal charges.
  • On May 15, an officer was alerted to a 66-year-old male who was on the Houston R-1 School Campus, who is a registered sex offender and not allowed on the campus. The subject was contacted and arrested for the violation. The male was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated pending warrant application.
  • On May 15, officers responded to the 600 block of Oak Hill Drive for a domestic assault. A 20-year-old male was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and animal abuse. The subject was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated pending warrant application.
  • On May 17, officers cited Noah T. Cantrell, 24, of Cabool, for driving while intoxicated.
