Texas County commissioners held meetings to handle area matters on May 13 and 14.
Updates
- The commission approved a proclamation declaring June 15 to 21 as “Men’s Health Week” in Texas County.
- Junior King met with the commission concerning Carroll Township.
- Weston Hanger, Great Rivers Engineering, met with commissioners to sign construction plans and to give an update on the Texas County FLAP-083 Paddy Creek project.
- Commissioner John Casey attended a Cass Township meeting.
- Sheriff Scott Lindsey informed the commission that two of the county vehicles have been involved in accidents. He also discusses fire exits and secure hallways in the justice center.
- County Clerk Peggy Seyler presented paperwork to the commission to review for bank bids.
- John Sterner, Clinton Township, informed the commission of a resignation on their township board.
- Lee Kern presented the commission with sunshine requests.
- Jeff Malam and Larry Curnutt met with the commission concerning township meetings.
