Property at Grand Avenue and Chestnut Street was leveled this week to make way for green space.
The work is part of the City of Houston’s efforts to clean up neighborhoods.
Below, debris is lifted into a truck. A house and outbuilding also have been removed on First Street east of a Houston School District building.
