County deputies responded to calls during the last week.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A deputy responded at about 12:10 p.m. March 3 after a man (of unreported age) reported that his 42-year-old daughter had been yelling at him all morning.

The officer determined the problem occurred because the man wanted the woman to see a doctor for a mental evaluation. Neither person wished to pursue charges.

•A pair of deputies went to a 23-year-old man’s Highway M residence at Cabool on March 3 because the man is a convicted felon and had stated in a text that he had firearms at his residence. The man gave the officers consent to search his home. No guns were found.

•A 70-year-old Plato man called March 3 to report that a neighbor’s mule was on his Highway AW property.

An investigating officer made contact with the neighbor, 50, and he said he was on his way to get the animal. He said his wife had moved the mule, not aware that there was a hole in the fence where she moved it to.

•A 60-year-old Houston woman reported on Feb. 28 that a trailer hitch valued at $100 had been stolen from her husband’s truck while it was parked at a U.S. 63 residence at Houston.
