Wilma June Stark, 82, of Sanger, Texas, passed away June 17, 2017, in Denton, Texas.
She was born April 25, 1935, in Hartshorn, daughter of Charley Monroe and Vena Delphia Crabtree Barton. She and Elvin Paul “Shorty” Stark were married Aug. 8, 1951, in Summersville.
She was a member of the Duplex Baptist Church in Ivanhoe, Texas.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as an aircraft mechanic for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, Calif., for more than 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents,; three sisters, Marie Gatz, Ola Mae Skog Harmon, and Mildred Cook; and five brothers, Virgil Barton, Cecil Barton, Jim Barton, Ralph Barton and Elmer Barton.
Survivors include her husband, Shorty Stark of Sanger, Texas; a daughter Donna Millard of Sanger, Texas; a son, Lonnie Wayne Stark of Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Thelma McKee of Mountain View; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services are Saturday, Nov. 4, at Valley Center Church, Hartshorn. Burial will be in Valley Center Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
