The City of Houston has entered into a contract with SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging to provide bus passes to local senior citizens who are at least 60 years old.

This service will provide seniors the opportunity to ride the bus in the city of Houston. The tickets are free and will allow each senior 10 one-way rides with a ticket value of $10.

“We appreciate any and all contributions which will go back into the transportation fund to add additional rides,” said Houston Senior Center administrator Bernadine Hohlt.

Hohlt said one bus pass per person can currently be issued. Bus schedules are available at the Houston Senior Center.

“We hope some of the senior riders will stop by the Houston Senior Center and enjoy a great meal and join us for a variety of daily activities,” Hohlt said.
