Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol check a vehicle on a TCMH drive at about 7 a.m. Tuesday. Two suspects were detained in connection with a business burglary at Rolla. Three others were arrested at Cabool.

Five persons were arrested Tuesday morning in Texas County on suspicion of burglarizing a Rolla pharmacy, authorities said.

Two persons were arrested at about 7 a.m. on the north drive of Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. Three others were apprehended as they travelled into Cabool from North U.S. 63.

The search began after Rolla authorities released a description of vehicles believed to be involved in the Phelps County crime at Walgreen’s at 120 S. Bishop.

Officers with Missouri State Highway Patrol transported the five — ranging in ages from 28 to 22 — to the Texas County Jail. At least three had gang-related ties, authorities said.

Assisted at the Houston scene were members of Houston Police Department.

A Rolla Police Department sergeant said officers were processing the scene, and the agency would have additional information later this afternoon. The business had been closed when the crime occurred, he said.
