The Lady Tigers went 2-1 Saturday in the Houston Tournament as they finished second.

Houston has a 4-1 mark to start the 2017 season.

HHS beat Seymour 10-2 and defeated Gainesville 6-5 in pool play to advance to the title game. The Lady Tigers lost to Salem 4-3 in the championship game.

Carly Crawford, Kaitlyn Root, Taylor Chipps and Madison Lawson had two hits apiece in the Gainesville victory. Lawson homered and drove in four runs.

Lawson was 3-for-3 with two runs scored against Gainesville.

Crawford, Root and Jessica Schivitz had Houston’s lone hits against Salem.
