The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host a demolition derby Saturday, Aug. 26, in the arena at its fairgrounds on North U.S. 63.
The start time is set for 7 p.m. and admission is $10, or $5 for kids ages 6 to 12 (children 5-and-under get in free). The pits are scheduled to open at 1 p.m., and pit passes are $25 apiece.
Three classes will compete: Full size super stock, full size pure stock and compacts. Registration (before 5:30 p.m.) costs $20 each for drivers and riders.
There will also be a Power Wheels competition for kids ages 3 to 9. Entrants must register, but there is no fee to participate.
