Houston officers handled several recent investigations. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•An officer on June 8 responded to a report of a burglary at the H&R Block office on South U.S. 63.

The officer spoke to a manager and employee who said there were pry marks on the rear door and that file cabinets had been rifled through, a cash deposit box was lying on the floor, and box containing $50 cash had been swiped from one of the file cabinets. There are no suspects.

•Matthew J. Ramsey, 30, of 16490 Hog Creek Road, at Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after entering Walmart on June 8. Ramsey had been banned from all Walmart properties after an incident in May of 2015.

•Richard S. Taylor, 28, of 108 Acorn Lane in Houston, was cited for driving while revoked after a traffic stop on June 12.

•Kristina M. Shelton, 39, of 16247 Roberson Drive in Houston, was arrested June 26 for having three active warrants.

An officer made the arrest after stopping to investigate after observing a car from behind the Houston Sportswear factory on North Industrial Drive at about 1:15 a.m. After making contact with the female driver, the officer was told that she and her female passenger had been looking for scrap of fabric in a dumpster.

A routine computer check revealed that the passenger – Shelton – had an active Licking municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of assault and destruction of property, and two Houston municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and stealing under $500.

Shelton was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post the bond total of $1,250.

•James W. Arnold, 30, of 16068 Mellow Drive at Cabool, was cited for driving while revoked after a traffic stop on June 19.

•Jacob G. Thompson, 25, of 424 King St. in Houston, was arrested June 22 for having four active Osage Beach Police Department warrants for traffic offenses.

An officer made the arrest after responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at Thompson’s residence. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post bond (amount unreported).
