To the editor:
The board of directors of The Animal Shelter of Texas County would like to thank all of the businesses, organizations and people who supported us from the beginning of our conception to our final closure.
We do appreciate all of your donations. Whether they were coming to an event, dropping coins in a donation jar, keeping a flier up on a bulletin board, spaying or neutering your pets or in any other conceivable capacity.
It has been a great honor to serve you and the animals.
We hope our good work counted in the eyes of Texas County residents and with the surrounding counties as well.
We are very sad to have had to close our doors. We did try our best to keep them open. Sadly, it was not possible.
Remember to keep spaying and neutering your pets.
