Ross Leroy Barker, 75, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at his home in Summersville.

He was born July 3, 1941, in Poplar Bluff, son of Marion Franklin and Stella Mae Harris Barker. He and Glenda Webb were married in 1980.

He attended Jesus Name Pentecostal Church at Harviell. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed traveling to Yellowstone, the Black Hills in South Dakota and especially Hawaii.

He loved to pack a picnic lunch and spend the day four-wheeling in the woods. He loved to deer hunt and enjoying the camaraderie of his close friends: Charlie, Donna, Andy, Brad and family members Roy and Tim Daniel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Virgil, and Tommy; a sister, Sweety Belle; and a granddaughter Angel.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda; four children, Jackie, Laurie, Cynthia and Peggy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Adele, Luella, Dolly, Margie and Sarah; a brother, Edward; and many other family members and close friends.

Services were Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Midvale Church with the Rev. Leroy Murray officiating. Burial was in Midvale Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
