Betty Burney McDaniel, 92, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Houston House.

She was born Dec. 17, 1923, in Jacksonville, Fla. She and Robert McDaniel were married Oct. 31, 1944. He passed away Jan. 15, 2000.

She and her husband, Robert, moved to Licking in 1982. They were members of the American Legion and VFW in Licking.

She had a very deep faith in the Lord and was baptized and gave her life to God in the early 1960s. She was the church piano player for many years.

She loved playing the piano and accordion, working with plants and flowers as well as cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Sirna of Spring Hill, Fla., Jessie Worthey of St. Louis, Roberta Counts of Licking and Linda Coker of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services are Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Everett Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Boone Creek Cemetery.
